General Terms and Conditions


The present contract is submitted by the Château de la Bûcherie to the Tourism Hotels’ status or the Tourist Residences’ status. In all cases the customer must follow the legal provisions applicable to remain residential leases, particularly with regard to tenure.


Booking a room or apartment in our facility is valid only after the client’s booking acceptance by Château de la Bûcherie. The client’s booking confirmation remains at the sole discretion of Château de la Bûcherie. Moreover, to be permanent, the booking has to be guaranteed by a credit card issued by a reputable institution and valid (a credit card number, expiration date and security code will be requested) or have been the subject to prior credit agreement with Château de la Bûcherie or to be followed by a deposit payment.
The aforementioned payments shall correspond to one night for stays of less than 7 nights and to 30% of the total amount for stays that last longer than seven nights and to room rentals (or partial privatization). However, in the case of stays that last longer than 29 nights, the amount of the stay selected as a calculation basis will be the equivalent of a month. Multiple bookings (ie bookings of more than 5 rooms or apartments made by the same entity) are subject to special conditions for groups booking.


Payment must be made immediately upon arrival at the castle. However, in the case of stays that last longer than 29 nights, the amount of the stay selected as a calculation basis will be the equivalent of a month. In case of an extension of the stay, the price of the new period is payable in advance. Early departure does not lead to any refund and may result in a rate change. No discount is applied for early payment. Optional benefits are payable in advance. In case of non-payment of invoices to their due dates, Château de la Bûcherie will be entitled to a monthly late payment interest at a current rate of 1.5%, without affecting the repayment of debt. In cases where it was agreed that payment of the client’ stay would be done by a third party, the client will remain personally liable for payment in question.

Article 4 - BILLING

Invoices are established in the name of the client for a natural or legal person when it supports the price of accommodation, what it must be justified by a letter from the corporation / legal person, addressed to the reservation or at the latest to the customer's arrival.

Article 5 - PRICES

Prices are in euros. Except for the prices stipulated “excluding taxes”, all displayed prices means all taxes included. Prices include the provision of the room, studio or apartment including charges (water, electricity, heating), except the tourist tax, payable directly on site upon arrival. Optional benefits are not included in the price.


In order to ensure the proper execution of the contract, the customer must pay a security deposit payable at arrival. The restitution of the guarantee is conditional upon payment of all amounts due under the contract, it will be assigned to the degradation repairs, cleaning costs or replacement of missing objects, all found upon departure. The warranty (or balance) is returned to the customer at the time of his departure.


The contract is only formed after the effective settlement of the price of the stay and the security deposit.


The length of stay is the one planned in the booking confirmation or in the offer of accommodation or rental agreement.


Extended stay: Subject to availability and at the discretion of Château de la Bûcherie, the stay can be extended, without obligation to maintain in the same apartment or room or at the same price. If the extension is accepted and a new price is applied, it will be applicable on the date of the start of the extension. For stays with a special offer, a new accommodation offer will be drafted.
Early departure: In case of early departure, the applicable rate will be the one corresponding to the duration shortened. Any price changes related to an early departure will apply retroactively to the customer's account from the date of his arrival.


Cancellations: All cancellations must be notified in writing to Château de la Bûcherie. The effective date of a written cancellation will be the date of receipt to the company. A reservation can be canceled without fee up to 48 hours prior to arrival. For a cancellation within less than 48 hours, a reservation not canceled or a no-show on your part will result in the billing of one night costs at the rate given on the reservation.
Concerning the partial privatization or rentals, cancellations received before the 30th day before the event or stays will not be subject to a cancellation fee. If canceled between 29 and 19 days before the event, it will be 15% of the total rental amount.If canceled between 18 and 12 days before the event, it will be 30% of the total rental amount. If canceled between 11 and 9 days before the event, it will be 50% of the total rental amount. If canceled between 8 and 6 days before the event, it will be 75% of the total rental amount. If canceled between 5 days and the day of the event, it will be 100% of total rental amount.

No show: In case of non-presentation, the absence of cancellation will be deemed a "no show" and will be subject to the aforementioned cancellation fee.


The handover takes place from 4pm on the day of arrival. These keys will be given back before 12pm on the day of departure.


The Client will make a peaceful use of the room, the apartment and the rooms that are at its disposal, and will respect the tranquility of the other occupants of the hotel. The Customer undertakes to comply with these provisions and with the internal regulations of the hotel that he expressly acknowledges and accepts. The Customer agrees not to take up residence at the address of the facility, neither on fiscal plan, professional designation, nor to lend, sublet in any capacity whatsoever, the room or the apartment to a third party. The Customer will ensure to take care to its personal belongings and will take all precautions with regard to his own property. The Customer undertakes to maintain the furniture at its disposal in the room or the apartment in good condition and that he or she will declare to the reception any defect or malfunction. Château de la Bûcherie reserves the right to enter the rented premises for maintenance or safety. At the end of the stay the client will make the room or apartment clean and tidy; failing that, the rehabilitation will be charged to him. For safety and hygiene reasons, the animals are not allowed in the facility. The client undertakes to provide, for a partial or total rental or for a full privatization for an event, an insurance certificate stating the cover and excess amounts table.

Article 13 - LIABILITY

The liability of Château de la Bûcherie cannot be held in case of theft or damage to personal belongings, in the rooms and apartments, including in existing individual safes, common areas, parking lots and any other buildings of the facility.


In case of force majeure, Château de la Bûcherie would be required to partially or totally modify the benefits (total or partial closure of the site, of a common equipment like swimming pool, of a breakfast room ... ). Château de la Bûcherie will in no case be held responsible for any such changes and no compensation can be claimed.


The teams on site are at the disposal of the customers to address the grievances, resolve any malfunctions noted, and to enable the customer to enjoy the stay.


Any lack of payment by the agreed or lack to perform the obligations at the expense of the customer, this contract will be automatically terminated by the official in charge, and after a single payment order and / or a summons to do or not to do that remained unsuccessful. The client can be evicted by interim order.

Under the Decree of May 1992, our rooms and covered public areas are non-smoking areas. It is recalled that smoking in the facility is an offense and can be punished according to the committed damage. Smoking in a room can trigger alarms and causes a complete disinfection of the room. Thank you to respect and enforce this decree to the letter. Smoking area in the yard and on the porch. Ashtrays are available on request.


Pursuant to Law 78-17, on data protection, customers are warned that their bookings are subject to a database processing. Château de la Bûcherie offers internet access via Wi-Fi. The client user agrees that computing resources at its disposal are in no way used for reproduction, representation, provision or communication to public of works or objects protected by copyright, by a related right, such as text, images, photographs, audiovisual musical works, software and video games without the permission of copyright holders provided by book I and II of the intellectual property code where such permission is required.


For stays, payment is made on arrival. For receptions and seminars, payment is made according to the contract established in advance between the two parties. Payment is by cash, cheque, transfer (before renting or event), credit card (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard) or distance selling. An invalid regulation automatically cancel the booking.


These terms and conditions are governed by French law. This is so for substantive rules as to the rules of form. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
